Meaning:
‘With all due respect’ or ‘With respect’ is a polite expression, mainly used in business. We say it before we disagree with someone, to soften the feeling of disagreement. For example, ‘With respect, your idea won’t work’ is like saying ‘I respect you, but your idea won’t work’.
Example:
A: Ok, great. So we have this new product. Let’s plan how to sell it!
B: Boss, with all due respect, this product needs more work.
A: What do you mean?
B: Um… well, it’s just… you see… With all due respect….
A: You can stop being polite. Get to the point. The product has problems?
B: Yes. I think we need to re-design it.
