Meaning:

'wishy washy' means 'not good at deciding things'. A wishy washy person
cannot decide which restaurant to eat at, cannot choose a new shirt etc.
They wish one thing, then that wish gets washed away. English has many
of these words with doubled-up sounds: flip-flops (beach sandals), pingpong (table tennis) and more.
