"The ball is in your court" means it is now your responsibility or decision to take action or make the next move in a situation.
"The ball is in your court"とは、なにかを行う際の決定権や責任などが自身にあることを意味します。
これは、「あなた次第」とよく訳されますが、It’s up to you.と違い、何かしらのアクションがあった上で、「あなたの番だよ」という意味を含みます。
★この表現は、テニスのラリーそのままですね。”FRIENDS” という海外ドラマで、ヒッチハイクで拾った男性が別れ際にまた会おうねと言った際に、女性側が電話番号を渡しこのセリフを返したシーンがありました。
