Meaning:
‘Photobomb’ is a new word. Dictionaries only started including this word recently, and it was named ‘word of the year’ by one dictionary in 2014. If you photobomb someone you get in their photo – as a joke. For example, Jack Black photobombed Angelina Jolie at an Awards Ceremony. Photobombing people is a kind of practical joke.
Example:
A: Hey – look at this photo. I went to Hawaii for my wedding and my wife and I just got our wedding photos back. But see here in the back? There is a surfer guy making a strange face.
B: Oh yeah! You were photobombed! Haha. I have a friend who likes photobombing people. Last week he saw a politician giving a tv interview and he photobombed that.
