Meaning:
‘I was left out’ means ‘The group didn’t include me’. For example, imagine your co-workers all went out to dinner and didn’t invite you. You could say, ‘They left me out’ or ‘I was left out’. Think of ‘left out’ as the past of ‘leave out’. So ‘leave her out’ means ‘put her out of the group’. ‘I *feel* left out’ means ‘I’m sad because I *feel* like the group doesn’t include me’. For example, imagine your co-workers all like talking about sports and imagine you don’t like sports.
