one-liner (noun)

Meaning:

A one-liner is a short, fast joke. One-liners usually involve playing with words; very often they use words with double-meanings. One-liners are often little attacks on another person. But because the point of one-liners is really just the word-play, we expect people not to take the attack seriously.

Example:

・There’s a man with an open mind. You can feel the breeze from here. Groucho Marx

・My girlfriend bought a cookbook called ‘Cheap and Easy Vegetarian Cooking’, which was perfect because not only is she vegetarian, but…’ Jimmy Carr
