Meaning:
`See eye to eye` means ‘generally agree with’, or ‘share the same opinions’. We use the negative expression - eg ‘I don’t see eye to eye with him’ – more often. For example, ‘I don’t hate her. I just don’t really see eye to eye with her on politics.’
Example:
Business:
A: Have you finalized the deal with our client already?
B: Not yet. It's tough because we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. They won't agree to the terms and conditions.
A: Come on! Come to Mike’s party! I know you don’t always see eye to eye with him, but you know he has a good heart.
Talking Point(s):
When was the last time you didn't see eye to eye with a friend or colleague?
