Meaning:
‘He/She is ahead of his/her time’ means ‘He/She is *too* special for now. In the future people will understand his/her talent, but the world isn’t ready to understand it yet’. For example, a man called Andrew Yang is trying to be US President in 2020. He wants to give every American $1000- a month to make America richer and more equal. Some people say he is crazy, but I think he is just ahead of his time.
Example:
A: My grandmother was a businesswoman. She started a business selling health food in the 1950s.
B: Wow! A woman with a business back then? She was ahead of her time, hey?
A: Yeah. And health food only became popular in America in the 1960s…So she was *really* ahead of her time.
